Angelo "Gismo" Ingrao

June 18, 1926 - January 2, 2006

Angelo C. ?Gismo? Ingrao Beloved Husband and Father Angelo C. ?Gismo? Ingrao, 79, of 4207 Dean School Rd., Kennedy, died at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday (Dec. 28, 2005) in WCA Hospital. He was born June 18, 1926 in Jamestown, a son of the late Salvatore and Grace Arcadipane Ingrao. Mr. Ingrao was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a Specialist 4 with the 772nd Tank Battalion in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Ribbon, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, the World War II Victory Ribbon, and the Army Occupational Medal. He was employed as a supervisor in the dimension mill at Crawford Furniture Co., and retired after 46 years of faithful service. Mr. Ingrao was a member of Our Lady of Loretto Roman Catholic Church, and was an active fund raiser for Catholic Charities. He was also a member of the War Veterans Recreation Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working with wood. In addition to his mother of Jamestown, he is survived by his wife, the former Joyce (Rebecca) Beckstrom, whom he married Dec. 6, 1947; three sons: Alleyn, Randall, and Angelo (Punky) Ingrao, all of Falconer; a daughter, Candace M. Ingrao of Falconer; ten grandchildren: Alyssa Riffey, Renee and Christopher Ingrao, all of Virginia, Thomas, Lars A., Nolan R., Fawn E., Jenny M. and Lukas A. Ingrao, and Nathan P. Beckerink, all of Falconer; four great grandchildren: Charlie Riffey, Cameron, Alexis, and Gavin Wolf, all of Virginia; a bother, Nicholas Ingrao, and a sister, Patty Searsone, both of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 1978; and by infant twin daughters in 1948. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Gullo, pastor of Our Lady of Loretto and St. John Roman Catholic Churches will be celebrant. Burial will be in Chautauqua Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, N.Y. 14701.
