Charles Leonard

Charles Elmer Leonard, 80, formerly of 101 Peterson St., died at 11:30 A.M. Monday (May 5, 2003) in the Lutheran Retirement Home. He was born Sept. 14, 1922 in Clarendon, Pa., a son of William H. and Hulda Weitrick Leonard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Before retiring in 1985, he had been employed for 42 years a a sprayer with the Crawford Furniture Co. He was a fomer member of the John W. Tiffany POst #53, Veteran of Foreign Wars. Always a kind-hearted person, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved animals and sports, especially fishing and football, and was a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Survivors: Sons - Terry C. and Charles J. Leonard Daughters - Delora J. "Dee" Kennelley and Linda S. Hilburger Grandchildren - Jody Zahn, Junie Eimiller, Travis Leonard, Heather Yarbourgh, Robert Hilburger, Nathan Hilburger, Charles G. Leonard, Todd Kennelley, Troy Kennelley Great Grandsons - Bannon Eimiller and Zachary Zahn Brothers - Harold, Freeman, and Irving "Joe" Leonard He was preceded in death by a brother, William Leonard; and by 3 sisters: Violet Smith, Lillian Rosentrater, and Margaret Martenson Rev.
