Gladys L. Kelly, 73, of 1008 Poland Center Rd., Kennedy, died at 4:20 A.M. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in her home. Gladys was born in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of Frank and Gladys Michael Parsons and also was the daughter of Mildred Kinney who raised her. Prior to retirement, Gladys was employed as a waitress and caterer at Betty?s Catering, Greensburg, Pa., and earlier at Van Stee Furniture and Jamestown Table Co. In earlier years, she enjoyed crafting. Surviving are her husband, Samuel L. Kelly, to whom she was married in 1957; three sons: Samuel L. Kelly, Jr. of North Carolina, William Kelly of West Virginia, and Keith Nash of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five sisters: Nancy Habubesh of Jamestown, Sally Machemer of Pennsylvania, Joyce Gilbert of South Carolina, Gladys Ferraro of Ellington, and Patricia Little of Jamestown; and five brothers: Frank Parsons of Gerry, John Parsons of Jamestown, Jacob Little of Watertown, N.Y., Charles Little of California, and Ronald Little of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a son, Norman Kelly; a sister, Mary Greenman; and by two brothers: George Parsons and Robert Little, Jr. The family will receive friends from 4:00 ? 6:00 P.M. on Saturday in Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home.
