Howard A. Johnson, 89, of 124 Aldren Ave., died at 6:40 P.M. Sunday (May 5, 2002) in the Lutheran Retirement Home He was born Sept. 23, 1912 in Jamestown, son of Arthur and Anna Anderson Johnson. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and had been employed by Blackstone Corp. before his retirement. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Jamestown Swedish Society, Ira Lou Spring Post #149, The American Legion, Chautauqua County 40 & 8, Jamestown Safety Council, and AARP. Survivors: Sons: Craig E., Rodney, and Kenneth Johnson Grandsons: Christopher and Matthew Johnson He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Margaret Lundmark, and by a son, LaVerne (Pete) Johnson. Rev. Charles D. May will officate at the memorial service. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
