Judith K. "Jude" Yanik, 63, of 402 Curtis St., died at 6:45 P.M. Thursday (Dec. 2, 2004) in WCA Hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1941 in Bradford, Pa., a daughter of the late Myron H. and Wilda McCandless Burgess. She attended Bemus Point Schools. Prior to retiring, she had been employed at Jamestown Community College, and in earlier years had worked at the Jamestown Audubon Society. She was a member of Zion Tabernacle, Jamestown Moose Lodge 1681, Henry Mosher Post 638, The American Legion, had been a union mediator at Jamestown Community College, and had been active with the Jamestown Bicentenial Committee. Always a person with many friends, she enjoyed camping and the outdoors, and will be remembered for her happy nature and her sarcastic wit. Survivors: Daughters - Veronica A. Kait, Barbara J. Johnson, Michelle F. Allen Grandchildren - Miranda Crandall, Colin and Ethan Kait, Alexa Allen, Danielle Johnson Sisters - Jeannette Gardner and Linda Crossley Brother - Dale Burgess In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jacqueline Burgess, and by an infant brother, Richard Burgess. Rev. Robert Reeves will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials: American Cancer Society 111 W. Second St. Jamestown, NY 14701
