Lena "Nanny" Leeper

June 18, 1926 - November 11, 2004

Lena Mae "Nanny" Ferguson Leeper, 78, of 47 W. Tenth St., died at 8:55 A.M. Monday (Nov. 8, 2004) in WCA Hospital. She was born June 18, 1926 in Dabney, W. Va., a daughter of Roosevelt and Rosa Lee Thomas Ferguson. A Jamestown resident since 1965, she attended Buffalo High School. She was a homemaker and had also done seasonal work at the canning factory in South Dayton. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and had been a member of the choir. She enjoyed pitching horse shoes, card playing, softball, music, and being a grandmother. Survivors: Sons: richard B., Roger A., Ronnell D., Wayne E. Sr., Manuel L., Gregory T., and Calvin H. Leeper, Jr. Daughters: Calvinia H. Knight, Fannell D. Leeper, Gloria J. Robison, Phyllis J. Kinsey, Diania Y. Hicks 43 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson Brother - Rooselvelt Ferguson Sisters - Carolyn Van Hook and Joan Ferguson She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin H. Leeper, who died Sept. 25, 2004; grandson - Eddie Knight; sisters: Nicie Gracie, Thelma Gordon, Theresa Ferguson. Pastor Patricia Newton will officiate at the service.
