Magdalena P. Stone, 74, of 429 Willard St., died Sunday (Feb. 13, 2011) in Tanglewood Manor. She was born Nov. 2, 1936 in Bamberg, Germany, the daughter of Karl and Francesca Sandner. She came to the United States October 12, 1955, following her marriage to the late Carl J. Stone in July of that year. Always a fun-loving person, she loved conversing with people. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, camping, reading, and embroidery, and watching her grandson Travis race at Stateline Speedway. She also enjoyed the time that she spent living at Tanglewood Manor. Surviving are three daughters: Carol (Robert) Darling , Patricia Stone, and Grace Stone, all of Jamestown; three sons: Bruce (Darlene) Stone of Cassadaga, Gary Stone of Jamestown, and Rodney Stone of Ashville; nine grandchildren: Travis Darling, Joe Seiler, and Marty Stone, all of Jamestown, Ashley Darling of Bozeman, Mont., Shannon Davis of Suffern, N.Y., Shaina and Shawyna Stone, both of Cassadaga, Eve Seiler of Niagara Falls, and Jacquelyn Stone of Ellington; four great grandchildren: Connor Darling, Joe and Molly Seiler, all of Jamestown, and Luke Davis of Suffern, N.Y.; a brother, Otto Prell, and her father, both of Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Stone, whom she married July 23, 1955 in Bamberg, Germany, and who died May 15, 2001; and by her mother. The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday in Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 ? 4:00 and 6:00 ? 8:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home.
