Raymond L. Langworthy, 67, of Ludwick Rd., Sugar Grove, died Monday (March 1, 2004) in Hamot Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Sunday in Sugar Grove Township. He was born December 7, 1936 in Jamestown, a son of the late William and Irene Abers Langworthy. He attended Buffalo schools, and prior to retiring in 1992, had worked as an inspector at Marlin-Rockwell Corporation for 35 years. He attended the Jamestown Revival Center and the Full Gospel Church of Pleasant Township. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he also enjoyed spending time outdoors and hunting. In addition to his mother of Jamestown, he is survived by 2 sons: Raymond L. Langworthy, II of Sheffield, Pa. and Tracy Langworthy of Jamestown; 2 daughters: Kathleen I. Piazza of Jamestown and Sandra K. Privitera of Ashville; 14 grandchildren: Megan and Colleena Langworthy of Sheffield, Nicole and Ronald Privitera of Ashville, Melissa Rounds, Amanda and Brandon Jones, Tracy and Shannon Langworthy,Tiffany, Vicki, and Jeremy Holland, all of Jamestown and Jennifer and Matthew Langworthy, both of Falconer; a great granddaughter; and a brother, Douglas Langworthy of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Yvonne Watson, whom he married June 29, 1956 in Jamestown, and who died March 25, 2001; his father, and a brother, William Langworthy. The funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday in Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home. The Rev. Loretta Knapp, pastor of the Full Gospel Church of Pleasant Township will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 P.M. today and for one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday in the funeral home.
